Steined 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2018 (edited) Hi. I have an internal Western Digital Caviar Black and I'm using it via HDD Box as external.(Model : WDC WD1001FALS). I have tested it for bad sectors by Easeus surface test 2 times and it reports no bad sectors. But when I scan it by Checkdisk ,it reports 1292 kb in bad sectors. The drive is Bitlocker encrypted. My question: Is there any differences between Checkdisk scanning method and Easeus surface test?? Why the results are different? And is there any real bad sector in the drive and how to be sure?
