davidwess 0 Report post Posted January 7 Plan on buying 2 x Seagate BarraCuda Pro 12TB. I have outgrown my Western Digital MyBook 12TB (6TB RAID). Could you kindly suggest an external 2-bay RAID enclosure to attach to my home computer via USB? My computer supports USB3, not (to my knowledge) 3.1. Is there a significant difference between 30 and 3.1? Any advise or recommendations will be greatly appreciated
Brian 153 Report post Posted January 8 Not terribly helpful but these kinds of things are dime a dozen. I'd find you that you feel is visually appealing and gets decent reviews on NewEgg or Amazon. Perhaps start with Icy Dock, we've had good success with them in the past. Higher end models would include guys like Caldigit and Netstor.
mitchm3 8 Report post Posted January 8 What about something like a Synology or QNAP? You gain so much more than just a dumb USB landing ground. There is a rich set of apps built into those NAS systems for multimedia, VPN, iSCSI support, web tools, etc.
