Supermicro Launches X11 Server Family Support Intel Scalable CPUs

Recommended Posts

Supermicro looked at everything that Intel Xeon Scalable Processors were capable of and attempted to create servers that exploit this to the fullest. The X11 come with support for more cores, higher TDP envelopes of 205 watts and higher, up to six memory channels for higher bandwidth, more PCIe 3.0 lanes, and network support for up to 100G/40G/25G/10G Ethernet, 100G EDR InfiniBand, and integrated Intel Omni-Path Architecture networking fabrics. On top of this, the new family has even more support for NVMe flash that, according to Supermicro, can deliver up to 16 million IOPS.
