PCIE SSD?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!

I can buy a 265GB m.2 samsung ssd from a friend for €100. Would it be logical to buy a €20 m.2 to pcie adapter with it to use in my desktop? Do the speeds and capacity's really differ from a "regular" sata ssd at this price point?

Depends on what you're talking about. M.2 can be SATA or PCIe native. If the latter the speeds are much better. If it's just an 850 EVO in M.2 then there's no benefit.
