Corsair Neutron XT just released

Recommended Posts

It looks like Corsair is updating their Neutron Line.

Controller: Phison PS3110-S10

NAND: Toshiba Toggle 19nm in up to 960GB versions

Review from Anandtech:

It looks like a mid-range performing drive though, beaten be the Samsung 850 Pro and SanDisk Extreme Pro.

Performance wise, it's hard to see this having anything to offer over say, the MX100. I find it unlikely that it will be able to match the MX100 in price per GB though.

Yeah I think so. SSDs are rapidly becoming a low margin commodity sort of product.

There's always a market for high performance stuff, like the 850 Pro or the upcoming NVMe drives, but I think it will be niche. Maybe PCI-E SSDs will bring some interesting boosts.

Our review will be up this weekend. The drive actually does really well in some places but falls down hard in others. Consistency isn't there.
