Intel Price Drop Error on P4 2.53 Ghz

Recommended Posts

Over this weekend Intel incorrectly dropped the price on the P4 2.53 Ghz chip to around $453.00. However, Intel then took back the price drop Sunday night. I ordered a processor at the reduced price, however Intel refused to honor the $453.00 to vendors for orders already made. I think Intel owes it to those who ordered the chip at the lower price to give the chip at the lower price.

well the 2.4 is still at a fair price, $395 shipped get it to run at 533Mhz FSB and probably to 3Ghz i won't see a problem with price rage :D

Intel need to sort themselves out where pricing is concerned.

Athlon XP2100+ - £198

Intel 2.4B - £359

I've quoted those prices from the same UK supplier, and both chips are the fastest available from each manufacturer, and both retail boxed.

Then again, quality does come with a price. :P
