Timing in unbricking Seagate 7200.11 busy drives

2 posts in this topic

In the procedure on msfn.org to unbrick Seagate 7200.11 drives with the BSY (busy) status, are there steps that should be done quickly and others where waiting is required ?

I ask this as, near the end of the procedure, I never could get "Ctrl + z" working after the drive was turned off and on.

Normally you would wait for the drive to finish processing each command and return you to the prompt itself. You should not need to worry about specific timing.

Where in the procedure do you get to and do you get any other behaviour from the drive/terminal?
