Will this SSD fit my MacBook

That's a standard size SATA SSD, should be fine. I don't think the MacBooks used any weird cabling but I'm not an expert on that platform.

Everymac.com has a guide and video on how to upgrade. I also don't see any issues using that SSD.

Note, it is older system so you will want to see if you can find a cheaper 3/GBs SSD and you will want to look into Trim Enabler(helps with SSD performance and lifetime). .

Great thanks a lot for your help

Why do you say look for one with 3GBs or less? Is it because it maxes out at that? Cause I was debating getting a samsung 840 pro. But if it doesnt make a difference then I won't bother.

Thanks, Will

If you don't see much price difference in models, just get the faster one. Even over SATA 3Gbps, you'll still appreciate faster. ;)

A regular Samsung 840 or 840 EVO might be the ideal price point tho, if value is a concern. No point looking for an older SATA 3Gbps-only SSD when a modern unit can be had at very affordable prices.
