Catzilla: A New 3D Graphics Benchmark

Recommended Posts

By going to, you can sign up for testing the closed BETA of Catzilla.

What is it, you ask? Basically, it is a synthetic benchmark that, like Heaven and 3D Mark, employs a scripted 3D approach to see how well a video adapter or integrated GPU is expected to perform.

For those who want details, it is a cross-API benchmark with support for multi-core CPUs (a parallel graphics engine makes it happen), DirectX 9, DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.0 under Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8, both 32- and 64-bit.

Catzilla Will Tell You How Much of a Failure Your Graphics Card Is (Video)

Looks like it will be released in November. With my weak Graphic cards(4350 and 9600GSO), I will likely be seeing a slideshow. Hopefully, the release will be purrfect and not a catastrophe. :P
