Recommended Posts

A formal outline of the new equipment will be coming up in a few days, but we are now launching a dedicated enterprise testing section thanks to a new addition to the test lab.

As some of you might know, we ran into some hiccups testing enterprise gear in our standard consumer test rig (OCZ Z-Drive R4) and decided to remedy the problem with a dual Intel X5650-powered server :D

Looks like a good heater server ;). Dual Intel X5650 sounds very nice and powerful.

Want to know something scary? It idles at 88 watts.

Both are in, two RAID cards installed, four SSDs and it idles at like 92 watts as shown by a KaW combining both power supplies to the same strip plugged in through the Kill a Watt

Well technically all drive we review go through that same light tent... although most aren't in a pile. Testing though is done in a more ESD stable environment ;)
