Icy Dock Hard Drive Docking Station Review Discussion

Recommended Posts

In terms of performance the USB 3.0 port held up well for both SATA 3.0Gb/s and 6.0Gb/s SSDs. Using an assortment of drives on hand we found the interface to max out around 180MB/s read and 155MB/s write.

Am I missing something or is that just terrible performance?

You should be able to pass 250-300 MB/s over USB 3 without much of a problem (with an SSD).
