Lacie Ethernet Disk Mini 500G w/ bad ethernet port

Recommended Posts

I have a Lacie Ethernet Disk Mini 500G , I think its the home edition. which was connected by Ethernet to my PowerMac OSX. I had a power surge that damaged the Ethernet ports in several of my componets. The Lace Ethernet Disk powers on but it wont show up on my network. If I connect via USB I can see the drive in my system profiler but I can't access my data. Is there a way to access the data thru USB or can I just buy a used unit and move my hd to it.If so how hard is that to do?

I don't know that unit at all - LaCie doesn't work with us on product for whatever reason.

Anyway, I can't tell from the pictures if you can easily get the drive out. I'd want to be testing the drive, sounds like it may have been damaged.
