alpha754293 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2011 I was wondering - is 10/100 really all that's needed for IPMI? How much bandwidth is required for Remote Desktop?
TSullivan 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2011 RDP has always been one of the few network apps that can scale extremely well. Are you talking about bandwidth needed to remotely manage another system or use said system as a thin client? IE... is lag important?

Um...well..it would be my laptop remote desktoping into one of my workstations. Lag isn't too important, but it is always best to minimize it. So, to answer your first question - it would be remotely managing another system (completely).

Ofcause the more the better
