Graphing Suggestion

4 posts in this topic

I've noticed that some of the graphs in your reviews have excessively high thresholds, which means that it becomes harder to spot significant differences between products. For instance, if you're comparing the IOPS of 5 SSDs at different queue depths and the highest value is 20000, there is no reason the graph should list values up to 60000. This leaves most of the area in the graph unused and visually minimizes the differences between products. Since you're trying to highlight the differences in comparison, I would recommend having a lower threshold, for instance 25000 in my example above. Then the differences between products would stand out more.

Good point, I will see what I can do on our art side to work around that. I know sometimes we design charts so it is easy to add on additional drives or compare drives in different speeds (3.0 vs 6.0) which can mess with the scale. I will see what I can do :)
