ST3500641AS-RK 7200.11 1yr Failure

*Update: I incorrectly posted the wrong model number as ST3500641AS-RK. Correction below:

Seagate Barracuda 500GB HDD

7200.11

32MB cache buffer

SATA 3Gb/s

Died after one year. Had extremely light load! As in hardly used. Booted it up on San for backups once every 3 weeks.

Backups consisted of 100-500MB worth of data each use.

Last check, 0 smart failures

Head just crashed out of the blue... No longer detectable as it clicks and clicks...

Drive had been used on *nix based iScsi San. Single drive mode, not in a raid configuration.

Rma has been processed.

Ran fast and somewhat quiet. Never ran as hot as my Maxtors.
