WD Updates Caviar Blue Line With 6Gb/s

Western Digital has quietly updated their Caviar Blue lineup with three hard drives that support the SATA 6Gb/s interface and increased cache.

Question, Can the Caviar Blue Line With 6Gb/s even burst to with 300MB/S throughput of data? I doubt it. This seems more of a marketing gimmick then anything really beneficial. But who knows maybe they will decide to include a gig worth of a buffering. :P

It's nice.. because it enables us to tell old WDs from new ones! If the 500 GB unit uses a single platter we could easily recommend it, as there'd be no fear of getting one of the old 250 GB platter ones.
