Recommend me a Sata Enclosure

5 posts in this topic

The Cal Digits enclosure sure is SWEET but too bad they don't sell it seperate.

So the next best that I have come across is the MiniG Sata Enclosure.

It won't need massive cooling as I'm not using it in a HD rig.

Just curious is anyone has any other recommendations.

I've googled and googled and these were the 2 that I've come up with.

The Antec MX-1 has been well received in reviews.

what sata-to-usb bridge/controller/chipset does the antec use? couldnt find anything thanks

I'd like to bump this request, just picked up a SATA drive and realized that the $15 ThinkGeek USB-to-miniATA/ATA/SATA didn't have the Molex-style-to-SATA-style power adapter.

O great gurus of StorageReview who are more likely to have looked at things like chipset used, firmware, and quality of performance under multiple OS' ... What's the most robust USB enclosure? :)

Cheers,

-jon
