Is there a new sata II Raptor 150GB

Recommended Posts

There is scant information on the net and most of it is conflicting, some people are selling it on Ebay but it's model number is: WD1500ADFD and I thought it should be WD1500ADFS??? anyone know definitively if it exists and how new it is?

WD1500ADFS must be the right model number for it. But we know WD has lately often produced also batches of drives with conflicting model numbers (especially just concerning this SATA/SATA2 thing). In example WD800JD is SATA2 now, also WD2500YD was originally SATA, then they made it SATA2 but did not change the model number (but now there's also WD2500YS appeared).

However, there may be also errors/typos in stores and e-bay data. Often the new drives are automatically inserted into databases with "by default" SATA2 string.

I think this SATA2 Raptor is really existing but it is not in mass production yet. May-be made for some OEM's in example...
