Some? Seagate Sata Now 3yr Warranty

Recommended Posts

Seems like they are gaining confidence in the SATA versions of their drives? Newegg listed the one I got as having a 3yr warranty, but I sort of figured it was a typo.

According to Seagate's page and their warranty checker, my drive does indeed have a 3yr warranty. Maybe they are going back to their 8MB cache = 3 year warranty policy again?

Also someone posted earlier about the difference between the ST3120026AS and ST3120022AS drives. Its not at all made clear on their website, but the little OEM manual that came with mine says that the 22 is a 2 MB cache SATA drive.
