Okay I am so new at computer technology so please bear with me because i am just learning. I was attempting to download linux on my Acer aspire V5 and was running into problems getting the correct software to run a dual boot system and installing linux in the correct location and drive to be able to run a dual boot system. I have a feeling that this is a little off topic for this fourm, but i really need help. In Disk Management when i right click the storage space on "Disk 0" to delete volume the only option i get is "help" (See picture). The only time i get the normal option menu is for the Acer (C;) storage and the 300MB of health storage. I can not edit this volume either with the exception of shinking the vol of Acer (C:). Am i supposed to have this many drives listed?
Well i know they are not actual hard drives but i don't know what they are called. None of them take up much space on my hard drive, but one of them does take up 15.5 GB of memory but that is nothing big. As of rite now i linux is on my CD-ROM 1, is that bad if i plan on installing linux as a dual boot OS? Any info on where those volume Partitions could have come from, how to make it so i can delete them to increase my Acer(C:) partition, or if the setup i have now will prevent me from using Linux as a dual boot OS is greatly appreciated!
Sorry about not being too informed on the topic
Oh and also i do have a thumb drive plugged in while the screenshot was taken, it is Disk 1 (E:) so just ignore that
