  1. Hello, The first of all greet, since I am new to the forum. I have several controllers adaptec 6405 and 6405E. These controllers are implemented in Esxi 6 servers, version update 2. (kernel build 3620759) We have installed the version of maxviewstorage v2.02.22404 in ESXI. the arcconf, and the arc cim provider. The controller used is adaptec scsi-aacraid 6.0.6.2.1.41024-1OEM the Adaptec Web site. The BIOS version of the Adaptec controller is 19198 When we entered the console ESXI not shown in the health status of the controller We can not loggin in Maxview storage portal, the error is ocurred Internal error. After a few minutes, the system fails displaying a purple screen dump It happens with Maxview systems from version 2.x, If you install version 1.8 we have no problems, but does not update data in real time from MaxView. Is there anyone who has been able to install new adaptec drivers for maxview ver 2 and it works? greeting
  2. We're setting up a system that needs to be capable of writing 2GB/s to disk. We have 9 SSD's, one with the OS and programs installed, and then an 8 Samsung 840 Pro SSD Raid 0 Array. The raid is hooked up the an Adaptec 8805 raid controller that is supposed to be capable of 12Gb/s per port. I've been struggling to get this system to have write speeds better than about 1850MB/s which is shy of the desired 2GB/s. Is there any ideas on what I could try to optimize my write speeds Thanks
  3. Hello everyone, I've been making myself crazy trying to figure this out and haven't had any luck so far. I acquired a bunch of oldish parts that I'm trying to cobble into a workable file server. Tyan S2927 (http://www.tyan.com/Motherboards_S2927-E_S2927G2NR-E) Adaptec 5805Z (http://www.adaptec.com/en-us/support/raid/sas_raid/sas-5805z/) The machine has been up and running for a while now without issue. However when I add the RAID controller to the mix I never get the option to enter the array configuration menu. I'm not sure if there are any BIOS settings that are pertinent to getting this working but I feel like I've flipped about every switch at this point. The card definitely powers up and the cache protection mechanism is active (amber light on the card). Things I have tried thus far: Updated motherboard BIOS to latest version Tried reseating the card in both slots Tried both PCI-e slots Tried loading in without the Mini-SAS connector plugged into the card Moved RAID controller to another computer for testing. Can't access array configuration there either, although that machine does have an AMD fake-RAID setup that could possibly be interfering(?) I can't reconfigure that machine to find out at the moment. I don't know for sure that the card is still operational. Supposedly it was when it was pulled and given to me but who knows right? Is there anything else I'm missing here? Thanks in advance!
