  1. Thanks for the help, I wasn't expecting such quick replies! I already had a look at the Western Digital My Book Live Duo and the storage capacity is what put me off it. The Synology units seem to be exactly what I'm looking for. Sorry, yes I meant storage. Just one question, When it says that is maximum storage capacity is 8 TB, does that mean that the device itself is limited to 8 TB, or that the drives currently available for it are limited to that?
  2. Hi, I need some help with choosing a NAS system for my home. I have spent several hours over the last few days searching websites like cnet and just cannot find a clear cut solution to what I'm looking for. I stumbled across this forum and got a lot of useful information that has helped narrow my search (Thanks). I'm looking for a system with the following features: Atleast two bays Expandable memory (1 - 2TB should do for awhile, but i would most likely need up to 6TB) The ability to add at least 10 password protected accounts Remote access to it from anywhere Access it from iPad/iPhone/android Stream HD video and music to TV, IPad, PS3 and computers (ideally able to stream to more than 1 device at a time) Easy to use user interface (I won't be the only person using it...) Back up entire computer to it wirelessly It's very important that PDFs and documents can be remotely accessed from anywhere. No yearly/monthly... Charges. I'm not looking to spend a fortune, but I would like it to be energy efficent as well. Are there any other home applications that I've left out? I would really appreciate any help you can give me.
