Norton Ghost won't detect scsi Drive

I have these exact same problems with my QLogic QLA2310F-CK card, i think it reconize only 4 drives out of 10 drives im using. 1 of the 4 drives is Fibre the 3 are IDE, and the Fibre is a Boot drive. I think it might because the drives after the boot drive in the Enclosure are Dynamic disk. I'm gonna pull out the other dynamic disk and try again when i have time, even though this doesnt sound likely as the problem.
  4. I have a few parts i need to get off as i moved to an enclosure and a QLA2310F LC 2GB card Fibre Channel T-Cards used for 1mth time before case was to full of harddrives and had to get an expensive enclosure (8) T-cards DB9 connectors, ID select, spinup delay 40 pin SCA All for $120, wish not to split up yet. Fibre Channel Card (1) QLogic QLA2200/66 64bit/66mhz HSDCC card 200Mb/s Full duplex $80 used for 3 mths but was new pull when i got it, very clean (this is the 2200 66mhz verson, not the cheaper slower 2100) Fibre Channel Cable (1) 2m (6ft) HSDCC to DB9 28AWG Madison Cable Company "Turbo Quad" $10 Fibre Channel Cables to connect T-Cards together (7) 1ft Amphenol DB9-DB9 Fibre connectors with Madison Cable Company "Turbo Quad" $10 Also have a Allen Bradly external 12Vdc relay that can be easily wired to another "homemade raid box" so when you power on your box, both power supplies in each box will turn on at once. Prewired with bananna jacks and it's own metal base, with labed contacts, instuctions if needed. $15 Would like to sell this all for only $250 if you are unsure of how this works, he's a good atricle/review on how 2 $25 fibre drives matched a Seagate 15k.3. http://www.amdzone.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1254

Fiber Channel help, SAN or JBOD?

[Edit: Shortened message to narrow screen, please use [url=] tags for long links]
  6. Can someone post the file? or know where to get it, i dont see a link, but maybe that's just me.
  7. The cards are Corpsys, that worked great for me, and used them in a seperate Antec case, with a Allen bradley Relay connected, so onces my computer turns on the relay would turn on all of the harddrives in the Antec case powered by a Enermax 430W PS. And this was connected with all AMP cables with "madison turbo quad" cables. ($$$) And i currently am using a Eurologic FC8 (XL400 series) Fibre channel Shelf, 7 sleds with 2 hot swap poer supplies, rackmount config. I just picked up a newer FC9 shelf (XL500 series) and will also be selling the FC8 shelf soon. Have a QLA3210F-CK in a cubbord somewhere and a spool of Fibre. Im not exactly sure if it's rated 2GB/s but it does have two LRC modules so i can run 2 loops so that will be 2GB/s for sure.

  9. The QLA2100 cards are discontinued and no longer are supported by QLogic. My QLA2200 card works flawlessly, and has full driver support and firmware updates. Their SanSurfer sofware is actually pretty good. There are alsso 33mhz and 66mhz versons of the QLA2200. I recently picked up a QLA2310F-CK card that uses a LC fibre connector instead of the copper HSSDC. Haven't had a chance to try it yet, will do next week though. Maybe then i can post up some Benches.
  10. Yeah i have a similar setup, it's pretty fast, yet cheap. I just purchaced an enclosure, cus i have no more room in the case for T-card. I will be selling the 8 T-cards, QLA2200/66hmz, all the DB9-DB9 fibre cables, and HSSDC to DB9 cable in about a week.
