  1. Didnt realize how little impact the HD had on game performance. What about multitasking? Say I want to run a stat tracker while I game, as well as have a character builder or webpage open that I can alt-tab to for quick reference? Should I just go with 2 cheaper HD's in a RAID config? Thanks for the help.
  2. That's what I was looking at. But when I posted build advice at another forum, I was told it's not worth it. I asked why and got this: Simple: for the price you pay for 150GB Raptor you can get almost a 500GB regular drive which is only 5-6% slower. Raptors are good at pulling up things faster, and loading your games a few seconds faster. Thats it! Raptors are also run hot and make a lot of noise. Your call though. [Edit: The poster recomended the Seagate 250GB 7200.10] Just curious to get a second opinion on this becuase I'm not the most up to date on this sort of thing. I don't mind shelling out the cash for the Raptor, I just want to make sure it's what I'm looking for.
  3. Any opinions at all?
  4. I'm in the process of selecting parts to build my first pc. I primarily play MMO's and FPS. I'm not concerned with space, as I don't do any heavy downloading. I'm just trying to figure out what hard drive will give me the best bang (performance) for my buck ($$). Total pc budget is $2000, I'd not like to go much over $250 for the hard drive. Thanks for the help.
