What do you think of John McCain?

I don't like any of them honestly. all politicians seem to be just interested in power and helping their buddies out. I supposed the Republicans more than the Democrats are this way but they all seem to make decisions that are against the interest of the general public. If I had to choose, I guess I find Obama the least bad of the bunch we have to choose from this time around.
  2. If you plug say a chassis fan into the CPU fan header does it spin? I hadn't tried that, but I pulled out everything and reseated it and it works now. I must have had something hooked up wrong or not hooked up all the way. All is well, thanks for the reply.
  3. I purchased some components to try and build a new system. I think the MB is bad but I'm hoping to get some advice from others. It's a C2D E4300 and a Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 rev 3.3 board and when I power it on the case fans, hard drive, floppy and cd-rom drive all seem to get power and spin up but the cpu fan tries to move but never actually spins and nothing happens. I tried a new power supply but I got the same result so I'm pretty sure that's not it. I'm guessing the MB is bad but anyone know anything else I can check or if I may have something hooked up wrong? TIA
  4. It definately looks interesting but I'm not sure I have the time to play another game. I'd still like to take look at it though.

I didn't bother because you're an obvious troll...

Let's see if I understand you right. You don't like soccer? Stuff it. I wouldn't go to a thread discussing hockey and say all the things I don't like about it. It's not what the thread is about.

    Finally, dell to use AMD

Does it really matter? I'm so tired of people spouting 64 bit as one of AMD's advantages, it wont become one until a maintstream 64bit operating system, and software to run on it are released. Until then I couldn't care less.

    Upcoming bands

There's a new Godsmack CD coming out next Tuesday. Not sure how you feel about them, my wife likes them and I like several of their songs. Of course I have no idea how cd releases work in your area.

Does my notebook have a PCI Card Slot?

Where inside your notebook did you expect to fit both a mini-pci card AND a wireless PC card? I also find it amusing that you think the salesmen at BestBuy would know something obscure like that about a laptop and would have any easier time finding out than you would with a google search.

    500gb @ best buy?

That laptop is normally $749.99 not $945.

    Fax question

You could also look into a wireless print server made by linksys (I think Netgear may also make one) but I'm not sure that will work with an all-in-one machine and if it did you would likely lose the scanning functionality at the very least.

    Fax question

Depending on the model of all in one printer you might be able to hook it directly up to your wireless network. Both Lexmark and HP have a device for some of their all-in-one printers. You could probably check their web site for accessories for your specific model.
  13. I don't even think it's necessary to moderate that much but it would be nice to avoid a certain couple of posters altogether as all they seem interested in doing is turn every thread in which they post into a fight between them. Hell, for all I know they may both actually be one person. Either way a ignore user function would be great IMO, or at least remove some of their more useless ramblings.

    Dependability Rankings of Vehicle Brands

*shrug* I find Cadillacs some of the ugliest cars made. To each his own I guess.

That's the thing, I can't ever bear to read more than a line or two before I have to quit. Then I have to scroll for two pages to get past the dribble.
