  1. I just bought a new 3 TB DeskStar NAS hard drive. The Quick Start guide says to download and use HGST GPT Disk Manager to initialize the drive. This drive will be used in Windows XP but I am going to divide it into 3 partitions of 1 TB each and all of the partitions are for data only, no booting capability required. Do I really need to use HGST GPT Disk Manager considering that each of my partitions will be less than half the maximum of 2.2 TB allowed for Windows XP? What if I just use Acronis Disk Director to partition the hard drive without using HGST GPT Disk Manager? Will that be perfectly alright and will not give me any problems later on? Thanks very much!
