I have bought a used laptop that has been upgraded with an mSATA SSD. Unfortunately there were no fixings on the drive, so with any rapid movements in transports (e.g. flights...), the drive pops out and I have to unscrew the backplate to slot it in to get the laptop working again.
Without attempting to add brackets inside the unit, are there materials that are fundamentally safe to use as a packing block inside the laptop? Given the softening point is above what the CPU would tolerate, is styrofoam an option?
