  1. Hi everybody, I bought Perc 6/e adapter on Ebay. It works fine with exception that I cannot get into configuration during the boot. I tried Crtl+R, Ctrl+H and Ctrl+C combinations, but no luck. I can manage it with megacli no problem. Still I am concerned that it might happen that I cannot boot OS and I need to manage RAID. I tried to update firmware with the latest Perc6/e firmware when I got the message that the package version installed is higher than the one in the update package. I diced not to proceed unless I get better understanding of the issue. It appears to me that somebody upgraded controller with LSI firmware and therefore there is a package version discrepancy. The output of controller configuration is below. I have few questions regarding my issue: Is Perc 6/e LSI rebranded RAID card? If so, what is LSI equivalent model? Can be the LSI firmware used on Perc 6 cards? Is there any other keyboard combination to get into configuration utility during BIOS boot? Are there functionality differences between LSI firmware and DELL Perc firmware?     Perc 6/e firmware issue

    I am in Canada. Would LSI MegaRAID SAS 8888ELP recognize my logical volumes created originally with PERC 5?
