The SanDisk Extreme Pro microSDHC UHS-I offers industry-leading performance for power users seeking top-of-the-line speed and integration into smartphones, tablets, and cameras (via SD card adapter). Sequential read/write speeds kicked dominated the competition.

Hmm, faster sequential writes on the Extreme Pro or faster random writes on the regular Extreme... decisions decisions...

With these cards it's just so hard to know...sometimes even the lower cost option uses higher grade NAND if that's all that's available at the time.

Agreed, but knowing Sandisk and their market, they probably optimize for sequential performance-- compromising random performance wouldn't surprise me at all.

BTW could we possibly hope for reviews of Sandisk's new shiny Extrem Pro Compactflash 160MB/sec cards? I would be very curious to see them next to the Lexar 1000x...

Waiting on Lexar 1000X still, having a hard time getting that one in stock for some reason. Will keep pursuing them and the SanDisk.

Lexar 1066x units just got announced... given that Sandisk's 160MB/sec cards look somewhat underwhelming compared to the Lexar 1000x units on some other sites, I wonder how much better (if at all) the 1066x cards will be.
