I did search the forum but didn't find a matching topic. So here is my problem: I need to replace my current mysql Server configuration (HP DL380G5 w. ten 10kSAS Disks.
Performance is definitely an issue and therefore I want to use SSDs, to be more precise: Kingstons SSDNow E100, probably 4 of the 200GB model in Raid10 + 1 spare.
So, the big question is: Will the new system (DL360G7) with his integrated HP Smartarray P410i and 1GB Controller Cache limit the performance of the 4 SSDs - and if, how much? Any suggestion for another controller with better performance and linux compatibility?
Workload profile is 80% write, 20% read, 4K chunks - quite random.
I appreciate every constructive comment. Thanks in advance,
Stefan
//oh, sorry, totally wrong here. Could someone move the thread in the right subforum? thx
