	IBTA Releases New InfiniBand 1.3 Architecture Specification Discussion #1 Kevin OBrien StorageReview Editor Group: Admin Posts: 1,109 Joined: 26-March 06 Posted 14 November 2012 - 09:23 AM The InfiniBand Trade Association (IBTA) today announced Release 1.3 of its InfiniBand Architecture Specification Volume 2, introducing data transfer speeds of 56Gb/s and 168Gb/s as well as enhancements to device, switch, and cable interoperability. InfiniBand is a low-latency, high-bandwidth interconnect solution with low processing overhead that facilitates carrying clustering, communications, storage, management traffic over a single connection.
