Kroll Ontrack, provider of data recovery solutions, information management, and legal technologies products and services, have announced that it has developed unique, proprietary capabilities to drastically improve the quality of data recovery from SSDs in less than a quarter of the time usually required. Engineers at Kroll Ontrack had to overcome a number of obstacles associated with flash media to develop these capabilities.

Someone in one of the forums I visit asked about SSD data recovery and no one seemed to know the answer. From what Kroll is stating this looks like it could be a major hurdle without the correct software. I'm sure folks having to RMA defective consumer grade SSDs would like to have this software - depending on the price, to try and salvage their data off dead SSDs.
