Or, 3 enclosures with (2) 4TB Caviar Blacks inside to probably get the same throughput and better access times :P. I wonder when those will come out.

Do they use the same AV GP drives as in the regular MyBook Duo?

Also no USB on those makes it limited to MACs and some high-end X79/Z77(yet to be released) boards - fail.

They are some iteration of Green drive, not exactly sure which though.

Lack of USB is kind of odd, the cost to add that can't be much.

These appear to be the OEM 24/7 DVR aim'ed HDDs, although similar build compared to the standard Caviar models. Not entirely sure why the switch took place outside of that the MyBook Duo might not be considered a 24/7 applications whereas the MyBook Live is a NAS and plugged in all the time.

So these use different drives (not AV-GP) than the Live Duo? Weird. Also do you know if it's aluminum casing or a painted plastic?
