OCZ has several SSDs on the Everest platform. I assume though that you're referring to the Octane SSD. If so, we have our request in but don't have a review unit yet.

In the last pr from OCZ, it said it was going on sale on Nov 1. Any idea when you're getting a review or what the hold up is?

Ryan had the drive at the Needham conference yesterday, so at least one exists

Sounds like there's a modest delay in getting into retail channel, though I don't think it's going to be a huge wait. Our review samples may be available next week...I'll keep you posted. We're an anxious to see it as you are!

Was it just a display or was it connected to a pc?

The purpose of the event wasn't to demo, so it was just the drive in hand.

what did ryan say at supercomputing? if they say they are going to ship a product on a certain date and it's delayed, they need to let us know!!!

He wasn't there and the consumer drives were not the focus. It's my understanding that Amazon had them up briefly today but they are showing now as sold out.
