As the title says - and I searched various combinations, has SR or anyone else run the latest SSD sata 3 drives on both a sata 2/3 mobo or controller to see what the loss is in performance with a Sata 2 mobo?

We used to publish these scores in some reviews such as the one below:

Any particular drives you were interested in seeing the performance differences on?

No particular SSDs Kevin. I was just trying to help a person who was looking to use an SATA 3 SSD on a laptop with a SATA 2 port.

Here
I've been running a 240GB SATA III Future Storage SSD on my Dell XPS 420 SATA II based desktop - it works so well - it doesn't get the performance it can achieve of course - but enables me to take it with me when I upgrade the PC. I guess this is what you are getting at. I blogged about this at http://www.blog.soli...kshop.com/?p=11

Hope it help.
