The TRIM enabled drive features sequential read speed of 170MB/s and write speeds of 35MB/s. The Intel X25-V SSD is designed to be used with portable computing devices like netbooks or as a boot drive for desktop PCs.

Ahh, 40GB for $125 is still too steep for me. I would grab an SSD instantly if one was given to me (who wouldn't) but at the current prices, it will be a few years before I pick one up.

The $125 I don't mind, the 35MB/s write times I do. It will be interesting to see how it performs...even as a boot drive I admit I'm more than a little worried.
