With 640GB platters, a four-platter 2.5TB hard drive is possible as well as a five-platter 3.0TB drive. I'm not sure how fast they'll get to market though. The more meaningful development may be the little larger platters for notebooks. Most people stop at the 500GB drives, a performance drive with 375GB platters would be nice.
